About Ashwood Nursing Home
Ashwood Nursing Home in Spalding provides nursing care in south Lincolnshire. We look after older people who need a registered nurse on hand, younger adults with nursing needs and people with physical disabilities, and we offer respite stays, including for people recovering after a hospital admission. Having nurses on duty at all hours is the heart of what we do. Wounds, medication, pain relief, continence, long term conditions and end of life care are managed here, and changes in someone's health are noticed and acted on quickly rather than waiting for the next appointment. We work alongside GPs, community specialists and hospital teams so that decisions get made in good time, which matters particularly in a rural area where distance is a real factor. It also means people do not have to move on as their needs increase. For somebody who has settled here, that continuity is worth a great deal. We work hard to keep this feeling like a home and not a ward. Residents choose when to get up, what to eat and how to spend the day, rooms are furnished with their own belongings, and visitors are welcome without appointment. We keep families properly informed, especially when someone becomes unwell. The Care Quality Commission rated us good overall at our most recent inspection. Please come and look round.
