About Us
The Elms Care Home is a nursing home in Louth, Lincolnshire. We provide nursing care for older people, including people living with dementia, people with a physical disability and people with a visual or hearing impairment, and we offer respite stays.
Having registered nurses on the team means we can care for people with real medical needs and can usually continue caring for somebody as those needs increase. Families who come to us are often worn out by uncertainty, and knowing that the moving can stop makes a considerable difference.
We keep the home unhurried. People wake in their own time, eat what they enjoy and spend the day in company or quietly as they choose. Rooms are the residents' own and we treat them that way. For people living with dementia, we work from knowledge of the person rather than from a set routine, keeping the surroundings calm and familiar and giving time rather than instruction.
We stay in close contact with local GPs and community teams so that problems are picked up early and hospital admissions happen only when genuinely needed.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good.
