About Us
Abbey Court Care Home is a nursing home in Bourne, Lincolnshire. We provide nursing care for older people and younger adults, including people living with dementia, and we offer respite stays for those who need care for a few weeks.
Nursing care here is about keeping people comfortable and well, not just managing conditions. Our nurses and carers work together so that medical needs are properly met while the day still belongs to the resident. We liaise closely with local GPs and community teams, which helps us to spot problems early and to avoid unnecessary trips to hospital.
We think a care home should feel like a household rather than an institution. People keep their own routines, bring their own things, and have their rooms treated as their own space. Meals are something to look forward to, and relatives are welcome to join in. Visiting is not a rigid business here; families know when they are most needed, and we work around them.
For people living with dementia, consistency is everything, so we try hard to keep familiar faces on shift and to learn each person's history properly.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good.
