About Us
Brymore House is a care home with nursing in Lewisham, supporting older people who need nursing care, people living with dementia, adults living with mental health needs, people with a physical disability and those with a visual or hearing impairment. We support younger adults as well as older residents, and we offer respite stays.
Registered nurses on site mean health needs are met here rather than becoming a reason to move someone. Medication, wounds, continence, long term conditions and end of life care are all looked after in the home, by staff who know the resident.
Good nursing care depends on knowing people. Somebody who cannot easily say they are in pain will show it another way, and it is the staff who know their usual manner who will notice. That is why we keep teams as consistent as we can and why we treat time spent with residents as part of the job.
For residents with a sensory impairment or a physical disability we adapt how we communicate and how the building works for them, since those practical details decide how much of the day belongs to the person.
Respite stays are available, including recovery periods after hospital.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission was good.
