About Claremont Care Home

Claremont Care Home is a nursing home in Farsley, between Leeds and Bradford. Qualified nurses are on duty here at all hours, and that is generally the reason families come to us rather than to a residential home. Most of the people living with us are older adults and a good many have dementia. We also support younger adults whose health needs require nursing care, and we take care that they are not simply absorbed into a routine built for people much older than them. Nursing care done well is quiet and detailed. Medicines, wounds, pain, pressure care and making sure people eat and drink enough. The part that no procedure covers is noticing, and noticing comes from the same staff knowing the same residents. That is why keeping our team matters more to us than almost anything else we could tell you about. Around the clinical work we try to protect the ordinary. Choosing what to wear and when to get up. Proper food. The garden in summer. Visitors at whatever time somebody can actually get here after work. Respite admissions are available where the clinical need rules out a residential stay. Our overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Farsley is easy to reach from either city, so come and see the home on a normal day and ask us anything.
