About Us
Southfield Court Care Home is a nursing home in Huddersfield providing round the clock nursing and personal care for older people, for younger adults with nursing needs, and for people living with dementia. Registered nurses work alongside our care staff at all times, so health needs can be met here without people having to move on when their condition changes.
We should be straightforward about our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission, which is requires improvement. We are not going to gloss over it. We know which areas were identified and we have a clear programme of work in hand, with changes already made to how we record care, how we induct and supervise staff, and how we involve families in decisions. We would far rather you asked us about it directly, and we will show you what we are doing and how far we have got.
What has not changed is the daily business of looking after people well: careful support with washing and dressing, attention to nutrition and skin care, sensible management of medication, and time spent with people rather than only on them. For those living with dementia we keep routines steady and familiar, because that is what settles a day.
Respite stays are available as well as permanent places. If you are considering Southfield Court for a relative, please come and see us, and ask whatever you need to ask.
