About St Winifreds Care Centre

Here at St Winifreds Care Centre, we are a nursing home based in Deal, Kent, providing a range of care for people with a variety of needs and circumstances. We support older adults, people living with dementia, those with physical disabilities, and younger adults who require nursing or residential care. We also offer respite care for those who need a short stay, whether that is to recover after a hospital admission or to give family carers some time to rest. Our team works hard to make sure that everyone who comes through our doors feels genuinely at home. We take time to get to know each person, understanding their history, their preferences, and what matters most to them day to day. Care plans are built around the individual, not the other way around, and we involve residents and their families in decisions wherever possible. Living with dementia or a physical disability can bring real challenges, and we do not underestimate the trust that families place in us when choosing a care home. We approach that responsibility seriously and try to communicate openly and honestly at every stage. We are proud that our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission resulted in an overall rating of Good. That rating reflects the work of our whole team, from nursing staff to kitchen and housekeeping colleagues, all of whom play a part in the experience of our residents. Deal is a lovely part of Kent and we feel fortunate to be rooted in this community. Whether someone is moving in permanently or staying with us for a short period, we want their time at St Winifreds Care Centre to feel settled, safe, and as comfortable as possible. We are always happy to welcome prospective residents and their families for a visit to see the home for themselves.
