About Us

Here at Kingsley Court Care Home in Hayes, Hillingdon, we provide nursing home care for older people in a setting that feels genuinely like home. We are proud to have received a "Good" rating from the Care Quality Commission, which reflects the effort our whole team puts in day to day to make sure every person living with us is well supported and treated with real respect.

Our care covers a range of needs, including nursing care, dementia care and respite care. We understand that no two people are the same, so we take time to get to know each resident properly, learning about their life, their preferences and what matters most to them. That knowledge shapes the care we provide, whether someone is staying with us for a short period of recovery or has made Kingsley Court their permanent home.

For those living with dementia, we work hard to create an environment that feels calm, familiar and safe. We know how much the small things matter, the familiar faces, the steady routines, the moments of connection throughout the day, and we make sure those things are never overlooked.

Our nursing team is on hand around the clock, providing clinical care that is both thorough and compassionate. We liaise closely with GPs, specialists and families to make sure everyone involved in a resident's wellbeing is kept informed and included.

We also welcome families as an important part of life here. We encourage visits, value conversations and see relatives as partners in care rather than visitors.

If you are considering care for yourself or someone close to you, we would be glad to welcome you for a visit so you can see Kingsley Court for yourself, meet the team and ask any questions you may have. We are here to help you find the right path forward.

More about the care at Kingsley Court Care Home

What each type of care involves, and the questions worth asking when you call or visit.

Older Person Care

Healthcare Homes registered Kingsley Court on 19 May 2015, so it has been running for a decade. For older residents the day covers help with washing and dressing, medication, meals and company, and the home says it takes time to learn about each person's life, preferences and what matters most to them. That knowledge is what shapes the care, by its own account. Four categories sit on its registration, so the mix of residents is narrower than in many nursing homes. Ask how many staff are awake overnight in this Hayes home, how quickly a call bell is answered, and who checks a routine is being kept.

Dementia

A good rating followed an August 2021 inspection, which is not recent but not ancient either. For dementia the home says it works to create an environment that feels calm, familiar and safe, and that the small things are never overlooked, naming familiar faces, steady routines and moments of connection through the day. That is an accurate description of what actually helps. A visit will show whether the layout and the staffing support it. Ask what dementia training staff receive, how distress and walking are handled, and how care changes as the condition advances.

Respite Care

Respite at Kingsley Court is offered for a short period of recovery as well as for a planned break. Short stays usually need booking well ahead and often carry a minimum length, so ask what applies in Hayes. Pack medication and a note of routines, and treat the stay as a trial run for anything permanent.

Nursing Care

London weekly fees for a nursing home commonly run from £1400 to £1850, while Hillingdon council pays about £1000 to £1200. Nursing care means registered nurses on duty at every hour, and Kingsley Court says its nursing team is on hand around the clock, providing clinical care it describes as thorough and compassionate. It suits someone whose condition needs regular clinical attention rather than help with daily tasks alone. Where a nursing need is assessed, NHS Funded Nursing Care contributes about £235 a week. Ask how that appears on an invoice and how the gap against the council rate would be met.
