About Us
Bonhomie House is a nursing home in Southampton, caring for adults whose health needs require nursing support alongside help with everyday life. Having qualified nurses on the team means we can look after people whose needs would be beyond a residential home, and that residents are not moved on each time those needs change.
We support adults with physical disabilities and adults with a learning disability or autism whose health needs call for nursing care, as well as older adults with ongoing conditions. We manage medication, nutrition, skin care, pain and comfort, and we help with washing, dressing and moving about in a way that leaves as much as possible in the resident's own hands. We care for people living with mental health conditions, where a settled environment and staff who notice early changes matter greatly, and we support people affected by alcohol or drug misuse without judgement. We also care for younger adults, planning their days around their own interests. Respite stays are available for families needing a break.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is requires improvement. We would sooner tell you that ourselves than have you find it later. The areas identified are where our effort is concentrated, and we are glad to discuss them with anyone considering us.
