About Us
Here at Steep House Nursing Home, we provide nursing and residential care for older adults and younger people across Petersfield and the wider Hampshire area. We are proud to be rated Good by the Care Quality Commission, which reflects the genuine effort our team puts in every day to ensure people living here feel safe, respected and at home.
We support people with a range of needs, including dementia, mental health conditions and physical disabilities. We also offer respite care, which can make an enormous difference to families and carers who need some time to rest and recharge, knowing their loved one is being looked after properly.
Our approach is straightforward. We take the time to get to know each person, their history, their preferences and what matters most to them. Care plans are built around the individual rather than the other way around, and we encourage residents and their families to be involved in decisions from the very beginning.
The nursing care we provide means we can support people with more complex health needs, working closely with GP surgeries, district nurses and other healthcare professionals to make sure everyone receives the right level of support. For those living with dementia or mental health conditions, we understand that consistency, familiarity and calm surroundings matter a great deal, and we work hard to provide that.
Steep House is a relatively small and settled community, and we think that matters. Staff and residents get to know one another properly, and that familiarity helps build trust. Families tell us they value being kept informed and feeling genuinely welcome when they visit.
If you would like to find out more about what we offer or would like to arrange a visit, we would be very happy to hear from you.
