About Us
We are Bourley Grange, a nursing home in Fleet, Hampshire. We care for older people and younger adults needing nursing support, including those living with dementia, people with a physical disability and people with a visual or hearing impairment, and we take respite admissions as well as permanent residents.
Having qualified nurses here at every hour is the practical difference between us and a residential home. Changes in a resident's health are picked up by staff who know them, a move elsewhere is rarely necessary when a condition shifts, and care at the end of life can be given here among familiar people.
Where dementia and a sensory impairment occur together, we check the simple explanation before the complicated one. A hearing aid that is not working accounts for a great deal that otherwise gets recorded as confusion.
For residents with a physical disability the practical details matter most: enough time that a transfer is unhurried, equipment set up properly, and asking the person how they prefer it managed.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good.
