About Us

Cullum Welch Court is a nursing home in Greenwich. We care for older people and younger adults whose needs include nursing, and respite stays are part of what we do.

Because nursing is provided here, nobody reaches a point of being too unwell to stay. The clinical side is only part of a day though, and usually the smaller part. The rest is ordinary life: food people want to eat, help that comes without a wait, privacy, company when it is wanted, and being spoken to as somebody with a working life and a family.

Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is requires improvement. We would rather write that here than have a family come across it and wonder what else we chose not to mention. We accept what was found, we are working through it, and we will not claim in a paragraph that it is finished.

Anybody considering us should visit without an appointment, speak to residents and relatives away from staff, and press us for specifics: what was wrong, what has changed, and what is still outstanding. That will tell you considerably more than anything written here.
