About Park View

We are Park View Gloucester, a nursing home in Gloucester providing both residential and nursing care. Having registered nurses on duty around the clock means clinical needs are met here rather than through repeated trips out, and it means a change in somebody's condition is noticed early by people who see them every day. We support older people and younger adults, people living with dementia, people living with mental ill health, people with a physical disability and people with a visual or hearing impairment. Because we offer residential as well as nursing care, we can often carry on supporting somebody as their needs change rather than asking them to move again at a difficult time. Having nursing on site does not make life here feel clinical. People keep their own rooms and their own belongings, the routines that matter carry on, and the day is built around what individuals want to do. Where somebody has a sensory impairment we adapt how we communicate rather than expecting them to adapt to us, and where somebody is living with dementia we take time to learn a life history so that reassurance rests on something they recognise. We also provide respite care, which suits families needing a planned break and people recovering after a hospital stay who are not quite ready to go straight home. Our most recent Care Quality Commission inspection rated us good overall. Relatives and friends are welcome, and we would encourage anyone considering us to visit and ask difficult questions.
