About Us

Seaview Nursing Home sits in St Leonards On Sea, East Sussex, providing nursing care for older people and younger adults, including residents living with dementia or with a physical disability. Having nurses on duty around the clock means health needs can be met here rather than through repeated trips elsewhere, which for most people is a considerable relief.

Daily life is built around choice more than routine. Residents decide when to get up, where to spend the day and how much company they want. Our team supports people with personal care, mobility, medication and nutrition, and we pay close attention to comfort and dignity in the way that care is given, not only to whether it was given. For residents living with dementia, we work at their pace, follow familiar habits and try to make the environment easier to read rather than expecting anyone to adjust to us. We also offer respite stays, which can give a family carer a proper break or support someone recovering after hospital.

Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is Requires Improvement. We are not going to talk around that. We know what was asked of us, we have been working steadily through it, and we would rather discuss it openly with families than have them find out later.

You are welcome to visit, look around properly and put your questions to us directly.
