About Chestnut Lodge

We are Chestnut Lodge, a nursing home in Ealing, west London. We care for older people who need qualified nursing alongside support with daily living, including people living with dementia, and we also look after younger adults with nursing needs. Respite stays are available. Nurses on duty at every hour are what allow us to look after health needs as they change. Medication, wound care, continence, pain and the increasing frailty that often comes with great age can all be managed here, so nobody has to move again simply because their needs have grown. Alongside the nursing we work to keep ordinary life going. People get up when they want, eat what they like, choose where to sit and keep their own belongings and habits. In a part of London as varied as this one, we also pay attention to language, faith and food, because a meal that is wrong for somebody is not a small thing when it happens three times a day. We take the trouble to learn a person's history and preferences, because staff who know somebody well are the ones who notice quickly when they are not themselves. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Relatives are welcome at any reasonable hour. Please ring us if you would like to visit.
