About Hillcroft Care Home

Hillcroft is a nursing home in Stourbridge. We care for older people and younger adults whose needs include nursing, including many living with dementia and people with physical disabilities. Respite stays are part of what we do. Having nurses in the team means complex health needs are met here rather than becoming a reason to move somebody on again. The clinical side is only part of a day though, and the rest is ordinary life: food people want, getting outside, prompt help, privacy, and being spoken to as somebody with a working life and a family. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is requires improvement. We would rather write that here than have a family come across it and wonder what else we chose not to mention. We accept what was found, we are working through it, and we will not claim in a paragraph that it is finished. Anybody considering us should visit without an appointment, speak to residents and relatives away from staff, and press us for specifics: what was wrong, what has changed, and what is still outstanding. That will tell you considerably more than anything written here.
