About Woodview House Nursing Home

We are Woodview House Nursing Home in Halesowen. We care for older people who need qualified nursing as well as support with daily life, including people living with dementia, and we also look after younger adults with nursing needs. Respite stays are available. Nurses on duty around the clock allow us to manage health needs as they change, from medication and wound care to pain and the frailty that often accompanies great age. Families frequently tell us that the fear of yet another move is what has worried them most, and continuity is precisely what we are set up to provide. Around the nursing, we try to keep ordinary life intact. People wake when they wake, eat what they enjoy and spend the day as they choose. We take the trouble to learn habits and history, partly because it is the decent thing to do and partly because staff who know somebody well are the ones who notice quickly when they are not themselves. We are also mindful that a routine designed for people in their nineties will not suit a younger adult, so we plan individually rather than by category. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Relatives are welcome at any reasonable time. Please ring us if you would like to look round.
