About Us
Richmond Village Aston On Trent Care Home is a nursing home near Derby, providing nursing and residential care for older people and younger adults, including people living with dementia. We also offer respite stays for people who need care for a few weeks, whether after a spell in hospital or to give a family carer a rest.
Having qualified nurses on the team around the clock means we can support people with complex or changing health needs, and it means families do not have to worry about what happens at three in the morning. We work alongside GPs, community nurses and therapists so that care is consistent and nobody falls between different teams.
We put a lot of thought into how the day feels. There is space to be sociable and space to be left alone, food that people look forward to, and activities that come from what residents actually enjoy rather than from a fixed programme. The village setting means there is plenty to look at and plenty of coming and going.
The Care Quality Commission most recently rated us good overall. We take that seriously and we keep checking our own work, because a rating describes a moment while care happens every day.
Visitors are welcome. If you would like to see the home, meet the team and ask whatever you need to ask, we will make the time.
