About Lodge

Ashbourne Lodge is a nursing home in Ashbourne, Derbyshire. Having qualified nurses on duty means we can care for people whose health needs go beyond what a residential home can safely manage, and it usually means somebody can stay with us as their needs increase rather than facing another move at the hardest possible time. We care for older people who need nursing support, including many living with dementia and many with physical disabilities, and we support people living with sight or hearing loss and some younger adults. Respite stays are available for people needing nursing care for a limited period. Clinically our attention goes where it counts: medication, skin integrity, nutrition and hydration, pain, safe moving and handling, and acting early when a condition is changing. Where physical disability is part of the picture we think hard about equipment, seating and positioning, because those details decide how comfortable and how independent somebody can be. Beyond the clinical side, this is where people live. Residents keep their own rooms and their own belongings, choose when to get up and what to eat, and can have company or quiet as they prefer. Families are welcome at any reasonable hour. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is outstanding. We are proud of that and clear it has to be earned again. Please arrange to visit.
