About Us

Silloth Nursing and Residential Care Home offers both nursing and residential care for older people, which means somebody can stay with us as their needs change rather than having to move on at an already difficult moment.

Having qualified nurses on site around the clock means changes in health are picked up early and managed calmly, which often spares a person an avoidable hospital admission. We also support people living with a physical disability, where dignity and practical independence matter as much as anything clinical. Respite care is available too, for people recovering after illness and for family carers who need a genuine break.

Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is outstanding. We are proud of it, and we are also clear eyed about what a rating is. It reflects a point in time. What keeps a home good is the ordinary daily effort, knowing what each person likes for breakfast, noticing when somebody has gone quiet and telling families things before they have to ask.

If you are considering care in this part of Cumbria, come and see the place rather than taking our word for it. Visitors are welcome at any reasonable hour.
