About Liberty Lodge
Liberty Lodge is a nursing home in Purley, and our work is with adults living with mental ill health, including people whose lives have been affected by alcohol or drug use. We offer both longer term placements and respite stays. Providing nursing care in a mental health setting is a particular job and we have built the place around it. Having qualified nurses on duty means medication, physical health and the effects of long term conditions get proper clinical attention, which matters a great deal for people whose physical health has often been overlooked. Around that, what helps most is not dramatic: a settled, low pressure place to live, a routine that holds without being imposed, support with the practical things that slip when somebody is unwell, and staff who notice early when things are changing and act rather than waiting for a crisis. Where alcohol or drug use is part of somebody's history, we work without judgement and without pretending the risks are not there. We talk about them openly with the person and the professionals involved and look for ways to support somebody safely. We work closely with community mental health teams, care coordinators and GPs. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please get in touch to discuss a referral.
