About Karenza Care Home

Karenza in St Agnes provides nursing and personal care for older people and younger adults, including people whose physical disability means they need skilled help with moving and positioning. Registered nurses are on duty here at all hours, working with carers who know the people they look after well. Nursing needs including wound care, support with medication, continence care and the monitoring of long term conditions are met on the premises, and we work closely with GPs and community teams so that changes in somebody's health are picked up early rather than late. Good nursing is exacting work, but it is not all we are here for. People live here, and we want their days to hold more than treatment. Meals are cooked on the premises with a genuine choice, rooms are personal to the people in them, and staff are expected to have time to sit and talk. Where somebody is nearing the end of life, our concern is comfort, dignity and giving families honest information and the time they need. Respite and short stays can be arranged. If you are looking at nursing homes in Cornwall for yourself or a relative, please telephone us and arrange to come and see.
