About Bonaer Care Home
Bonaer Care Home is a nursing home in Hayle, Cornwall. We care for older people who need qualified nursing alongside everyday support, for people with physical disabilities and for people with a visual or hearing impairment. We also offer respite stays, including for people recovering after a hospital admission. Having registered nurses on duty at all hours matters a great deal in a county where hospitals can be a long way off. Wounds, medication, pain relief, continence, long term conditions and end of life care are managed here, with GPs, community specialists and hospital teams involved when their input helps, rather than people travelling back and forth for every change in their health. It also means residents do not have to move on as their needs increase, and for somebody who has settled here that continuity is worth more than almost anything else we can offer. The home runs at the residents' own pace. People choose when to get up, what to eat and how they spend the day, rooms hold their own belongings, and visitors are welcome without appointment. Where somebody has limited sight or hearing, the way we approach and speak to them takes account of it and the surroundings are arranged so they can get about confidently. The Care Quality Commission rated us good overall at our most recent inspection. Please come and look round and meet the team.
