About Us
Clayton Manor is a nursing home in Congleton in Cheshire East. We provide nursing care for older people and for younger adults, and we support people living with dementia, people with physical disabilities and people whose sight or hearing has changed. Respite stays are available as well, whether that is planned well in advance or needed at short notice.
With qualified nurses on duty at every hour, we can look after health needs that would otherwise mean repeated trips to hospital. That covers medication, wound care, continence, long term conditions and support for people nearing the end of their lives. We work in step with local GPs, community teams and therapists, and we would always rather ask for specialist advice sooner than later.
Beyond the clinical side, what makes a difference here is the ordinary detail. Knowing that somebody takes two sugars, that they always watched the racing on a Saturday, that they cannot bear to be woken early, that a particular grandchild's visit is the high point of the week. We gather that from the person and from their family, and we use it.
For people living with dementia we keep the day calm and familiar, with staff who understand that behaviour is communication and who have the time to respond properly rather than hurry somebody along.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Visitors are welcome, and we would rather you saw the place than took our word for it.
