About Askham Court
Askham Court is a nursing home in March, Cambridgeshire, supporting adults who need qualified nursing care alongside help with everyday life. Much of our work is with younger adults and with people living with a physical disability, and nursing staff are on hand throughout the day and night. Supporting adults of working age asks for something different from supporting people in later life, and we try not to blur the two. People here have their own ambitions, relationships, interests and opinions, and the point of good nursing care is to make those things possible rather than to organise them out of the way. We help with personal care, medication, mobility and equipment, health appointments and rehabilitation goals, and we work closely with the health professionals involved. Just as importantly, we support people to get out, to keep up friendships and family ties, to use technology, to follow what they are interested in and to have a say in how their own day runs. We also provide respite care, giving family carers a planned break or supporting someone through a period of recovery. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you would like to look around and meet the team, please get in touch and we will arrange a visit.
