About Connect Nursing
Connect Nursing Cambridge provides nursing and personal care in Cambridge and the surrounding part of Cambridgeshire, both for people living in our home and for people we support in their own homes. We care for older people and for younger adults whose health needs require qualified nursing, including people with physical disabilities, and we offer respite stays for shorter periods. Having nurses in the team means that someone whose health is complex or changing can be looked after properly without having to move on again. We work closely with doctors, district nurses and therapists whenever a person's condition alters, and clinical care is given with the same regard for privacy and dignity as every other part of the day. Nursing is only part of life, and we try never to let it become the whole of someone's day. We ask people about their history, their work, their family, their faith and their food, and we build the shape of the day around those answers rather than around the rota. Mobility and independence are protected wherever possible, and we would rather support someone to do something slowly for themselves than do it quickly for them. We do not yet hold an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission. We are regulated by them and are building the care planning, records and oversight that a good inspection outcome requires.
