About Victoria Care Centre
Victoria Care Centre is a nursing home in Brent, north west London. Having qualified nurses on duty means we can care for people whose health needs go beyond what a residential home can safely manage, and it usually means somebody can stay with us as their needs increase rather than facing another move. We care for older people who need nursing support, including many living with dementia, and we also support adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults, people living with mental ill health and people living with sight or hearing loss, including younger adults whose needs are complex. Respite stays are available for people needing nursing care for a limited period. Clinically our attention goes where it counts: medication, skin integrity, nutrition and hydration, pain, safe moving and handling, and acting early when a condition is changing. Where somebody has a learning disability or is autistic, we take particular care to learn how they show discomfort or distress, because that is often how a change in health first appears. Beyond the clinical side, this is where people live. Residents keep their own rooms and their own things, and food is cooked here with tastes and dietary and religious requirements asked about rather than assumed, which matters in a borough as diverse as this one. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please arrange to visit.
