About Nightingales Nursing Home

We are Nightingales Nursing Home in Thornton Cleveleys, on the Fylde coast. We provide nursing care for older people and younger adults, including those living with dementia, those managing mental health conditions, those with physical disabilities and those with sight or hearing loss. We also take respite bookings for people who need nursing support for a limited period. Registered nurses are on duty here at every hour, which allows us to look after people with significant health needs and to respond quickly when something changes. We work closely with local GPs, district nurses and specialist teams so that care is coordinated rather than left to chance. Alongside the clinical work we pay close attention to how it actually feels to live here. Days are unhurried, people choose when to rise and what to do, rooms are personalised, and nobody is expected to join in with anything. Being close to the coast helps, and we get people out into the fresh air whenever the weather and their health allow. Families are welcome without appointment and are encouraged to be as involved in care as they wish to be. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We treat it as a starting point and go on auditing our own practice. If you are weighing up nursing care in the Thornton Cleveleys area, please visit us, meet the nurses and ask whatever you need to ask.
