For people living with dementia we keep the same care workers visiting, follow the routine the household already has and avoid moving things about in a home that is known by heart. We support adults with a learning disability and autistic adults, where the emphasis is on independence and on communicating in the way that suits the person, and adults with mental health needs, where reliability and respect do most of the good. We help people with a physical disability to move safely and manage at home, and where there is sight or hearing loss we adapt how we communicate. We also support people living with eating disorders, working alongside the health professionals involved and without judgement at mealtimes or afterwards.
