About Civicare Central

Civicare Central supports people in their own homes in Droitwich and across Worcestershire. Our work is quiet and practical, and it happens in the places people already know, which is where most of us would rather be looked after. We visit older people who need help with washing, dressing, medication, meals and keeping a household going, and we support people living with dementia, where the same carer arriving at the same time settles a day more reliably than anything else we could offer. We also work with adults who have a learning disability or who are autistic, people with physical disabilities, those with a visual or hearing impairment and younger adults. Alongside that we support people managing mental ill health, people living with an eating disorder and people dealing with difficulties around alcohol or drugs, which calls for patience, discretion and carers who do not make assumptions about anybody. Every arrangement starts with an unhurried conversation at home. We ask what somebody still wants to do for themselves, where help would genuinely be welcome and what we should leave alone, and we write down clearly what has been agreed. When circumstances change, and they usually do, we revisit the plan rather than carrying on out of habit. The Care Quality Commission rated us good at our most recent inspection. If you are thinking about support at home in Worcestershire, we are glad to talk it through honestly.
