We are for people who would rather stay where their belongings, their garden and their neighbours are, and who need the right support to make that safe and sustainable. We visit older people and younger adults. We support people living with dementia, people with mental health needs, people with physical disabilities and people with sight or hearing loss. A visit may involve personal care, help with medication, cooking a meal, support with mobility, household tasks, or company for someone who would otherwise spend the whole day alone. Some clients need one short call and others need several longer visits. We start by asking the questions that really shape a day, such as what time someone likes to get up, what they enjoy eating and what they want to keep doing for themselves. That becomes a written plan which we follow and revise as needs change. Keeping the same carers with the same clients is a priority for us, and our staff are trained for the particular needs of the people they visit. We are registered with and regulated by them, and we are putting in place the planning, training and oversight that a good rating properly requires.
