About Us

Belong at Home Domiciliary Care Agency Atherton supports people in their own homes across Atherton and the surrounding parts of Wigan. Our aim is simple enough to state and takes real care to deliver, which is helping people carry on living where they are happiest, with just as much support as they want and no more.

We work with older people, adults living with dementia, people managing a mental health condition, those with a physical disability, and people living with a visual or hearing impairment. We also support younger adults. Support can be anything from a single daily visit to several calls a day covering personal care, medication, meals, shopping and getting out into the community.

What we are known for locally is consistency. We try very hard to send the same small group of carers to each person, at times that are agreed rather than imposed, because a familiar face at a predictable hour is worth a great deal. Our staff are trained for the needs they will actually meet, including dementia support, and they are supervised and backed up properly.

We keep families informed, and we are straightforward when something needs to change. If a person's needs increase, we say so early rather than stretching a package past what it can sensibly do.
