About Red Star Care
We are Red Star Care, a home care agency working across Westminster and the wider London area. Our work takes place in the one setting that matters most to the people we support, which is their own home. For some that means a short visit each morning to help with washing, dressing and breakfast. For others it means several calls a day, or a longer stretch of company and practical help so that a family carer can rest. Most of the people we visit are older adults who want to stay in the house they know, surrounded by their own furniture and their own routines. We also support younger adults whose needs have nothing to do with age, and we are careful never to treat the two groups as though they were the same. What a woman of ninety wants from her morning is rarely what a man of thirty five wants from his. We begin with a conversation rather than a form. We ask what you can still do for yourself, what has become difficult, and what you would rather we left alone. From that we agree a plan, and we review it when things change, because they usually do. We are a newer agency and have not yet been through a full inspection by the Care Quality Commission. We would rather you judged us on what you see, so we are happy to arrange a visit from one of our team at a time that suits you, with no obligation at the end of it.
