About Project Care
We are Project Care, and we provide support to adults in their own homes in Northampton and the surrounding area. Our work is with adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults, including many younger adults who are running a household for the first time. What we do is practical and specific to the person. It can mean help with personal care, medication and health appointments. It can mean cooking, shopping, cleaning, managing money and keeping a tenancy going. Just as often it means support to do the things that make a week worth having, whether that is a job, a course, volunteering, a club, the gym, the shops or seeing friends and family. Where somebody is learning to do more for themselves, our aim is to step back as their confidence grows rather than to keep the hours going. We pay close attention to how each person communicates and to what makes a day feel manageable. Some people we support use speech, others use signs, symbols or a device, and others tell us a great deal through their behaviour. Predictable routines and clear information given in good time matter enormously, so we get those details right and record what works. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please get in touch.
