About Home Instead

We provide care at home to people living in Northampton and across West Northamptonshire. Our carers visit people where they live, at times that suit them, so that people can stay in the home, the routines and the neighbourhood they know. Our support ranges from a short call each morning through to several visits a day and longer periods of company. It might involve help with washing and dressing, medication, preparing meals, household tasks, shopping, or getting out to an appointment. We work with older people and with younger adults, and we support people living with dementia, people with physical disabilities and people with a visual or hearing impairment. Where somebody is living with dementia, consistency does a great deal of the work, so we keep the same carers visiting and stick to familiar patterns wherever we can. More generally, we plan care with the person it is for, covering the practical detail and also the things easily overlooked, such as what somebody wants to keep doing alone and what a good day actually looks like to them. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is outstanding.
