About Us
Cynosure Healthcare provides care and support in people's own homes in Northampton and the surrounding area. We visit older people, adults living with dementia, people with physical disabilities and people living with sight or hearing loss. We would rather be honest with you at the outset. Our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission rated us as requires improvement. We accepted the findings rather than disputing them, put a clear plan in place and have been working through it since, with changes to training, record keeping, supervision and the way we check our own practice. We would sooner tell you this ourselves than have you find it elsewhere, and we are happy to explain exactly what has changed. What we are trying to do has not changed. Visits are agreed with the person, written in plain language and reviewed when circumstances shift. They might cover washing and dressing, medication, meals, shopping, laundry or company. For people living with dementia we keep the rota as steady as we can and make sure carers know the person's history and what reassures them. For people with reduced sight or hearing, small adjustments make a real difference and we build them in.
