About Us
City Care Companions supports people in their own homes in Wandsworth and the surrounding parts of London. We are a home care agency, so our care workers come to you, and the arrangement is built around keeping people where they want to be.
Most of the people we visit are older and would rather stay in their own homes than move anywhere. Many are living with dementia, where familiar rooms and a familiar routine are worth more than anything else we can bring, and our job is to protect that while filling in what has become difficult. We also support people with physical disabilities, people with a visual or hearing impairment, and younger adults who need care that supports independence rather than replacing it.
Visits might mean help with washing and dressing, support with medication, meals and shopping, keeping the house ticking over, or simply company for someone who would otherwise spend a long day alone. We keep small consistent teams so that the person coming through the door is someone you recognise.
We are registered with the Care Quality Commission and have not yet received an overall rating. In the meantime, we would rather you asked us direct questions and spoke to the families we already work with.
