About Us
Grossdale Care Agency provides support at home to people in Waltham Forest. We work with older people and people living with dementia, with adults who have a learning disability and with autistic adults, with people who have mental health needs and with people who have physical disabilities. Our visits are planned around the person's own day rather than around a standard package. For some people that means a call first thing to help with washing, dressing and medication so the day starts safely. For others it is support at several points, with meals, mobility, the laundry and the house, or help to get out to appointments, the shops and the people who matter. The borough is a varied one and the households we go into differ in language, food and family life. Getting those things right is part of ordinary good care rather than an extra, and we try to match carers to households with that in mind. We visit before support begins, agree the plan with the person and anyone they want involved, write it in plain words and review it as needs change. We are straightforward when we think more support is needed than we can safely provide at home. Keeping the same carers going into the same homes is something we work at, because familiarity is how changes get noticed early.
