About Us

Ascot House Care At Home supports people in their own homes in Sale and the surrounding parts of Trafford. We visit older people and younger adults, people living with dementia, adults with a learning disability or autism, people living with mental ill health, people with physical disabilities and people whose sight or hearing has changed.

We begin with a conversation rather than a form. How does the day actually go at the moment? What is genuinely difficult and what is fine? Who else is already helping, and what do they need from us? From there we agree what support would work, put it in plain writing and get on with it. We would rather start with less and build up than arrive with a package that takes over somebody's home.

In practice that means help with washing and dressing, medication, meals, shopping, laundry and getting to appointments, and for many of the people we visit a good deal of company as well. We plan our rounds so that people see the same carers, which is what turns care into a relationship and what allows our staff to notice when something has changed.

We keep families informed, particularly those living too far away to drop in, and we raise concerns promptly.
