About Us
We support people in their own homes in Telford and across Shropshire. Those we work with include older adults, adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults, and younger adults.
We begin with what somebody wants their life to look like rather than with a list of tasks. Mostly the aim is to make it possible for a person to do things themselves and then to step back: cooking, managing money, using the bus, getting to a job or a course, dealing with the everyday business that can be genuinely daunting alone.
Where somebody wants work, a class or a club, we treat that as the purpose of the support rather than an extra attached to it. It is usually what makes the rest of the week worth organising.
Being predictable matters more than almost anything else we could offer. Being where we said, when we said, doing what was agreed, and explaining changes well in advance rather than springing them on people.
Our overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We keep asking the people we support what we should be doing differently, and we tell them plainly when we cannot do something and why.
