About Us

Firstcall 247 supports people in their own homes in Telford and the surrounding area. We visit older people and younger adults, people living with dementia, people living with mental ill health, people with physical disabilities, people whose sight or hearing has changed and people whose difficulties involve an eating disorder.

We try to be practical about what care at home should be. It should fit around a person's own routine rather than replace it. It should be reliable, which means turning up when we said we would and sending people the household already knows. And it should be honest, which means telling a family when we think the support is no longer enough rather than carrying on regardless.

What we help with varies widely. Washing and dressing, medication, meals, shopping, housework and getting out to appointments are the everyday parts. For some people the greater value is in the company and in somebody keeping a quiet eye on how things are going from one week to the next.
