About Us
Athena Home Care supports people in their own homes across Telford and the wider Telford and Wrekin area. We are a home care agency, so we fit around the life somebody already has rather than asking them to move or change it.
We support older people who need help with the parts of the day that have become difficult, from getting washed and dressed in the morning to managing medication, preparing meals, doing the shopping and keeping the house in order. We also support younger adults who want practical help arranged around their own routines and commitments.
Much of our work is with people living with dementia and the families who care for them. Consistency is what helps most, so we try hard to send the same small team of carers to the same person, and we take our time on a visit rather than working through a list. We keep relatives properly informed, and we say honestly when we think something has changed.
Support can start small and grow as needs change, or it can be stepped up for a few weeks after a hospital stay and then eased back. We review arrangements regularly rather than letting a plan go stale.
