About Us

Milestones Trust supports adults with a learning disability and autistic adults to live in their own homes across Swindon and Wiltshire. Our starting point is that a home is somebody's own, and that support belongs in the background of a life rather than at the centre of it.

What we do varies a great deal from person to person. For some it is help with personal care, medication and the practical running of a household. For others it is about keeping a tenancy going, managing money, getting to work, college or a club, cooking, shopping, and staying in touch with the people who matter. We are as interested in what somebody can do for themselves as in what they need a hand with, and we are careful to leave decisions where they belong.

Communication is something we take time over, because people express themselves in many different ways. Routines are kept steady, changes are explained well in advance, and there is always a way for somebody to tell us when things are not right.
