About Us

At Nayland Care Agency, we provide home care support to people living in Ipswich and the surrounding areas of Suffolk. Our work centres on helping individuals remain in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes, with the right level of care tailored to their personal needs and preferences.

We support older people, those living with dementia, individuals with physical disabilities, and people with visual or hearing impairments. We understand that each person we work with has their own routines, wishes and ways of doing things, and we take time to understand what matters most to them before we ever begin. Good care, in our view, starts with listening.

We are proud to hold a "Good" rating from the Care Quality Commission, which reflects the consistency and thoughtfulness our team brings to every visit. That rating matters to us not as a badge, but as a sign that the people we support and their families can place genuine trust in us.

Dementia care is an area we approach with particular care and patience. We know how disorienting and difficult this journey can be, not only for the person living with dementia but for those close to them. Having familiar, reliable faces who visit regularly makes a real difference, and we work hard to ensure that continuity.

Whether someone needs a short daily visit or more substantial support throughout the week, we work around what suits them rather than what suits us. We keep communication open with family members where appropriate, and we always encourage the people we care for to have a say in how their support is delivered.

If you would like to find out more about what we do and whether we could be the right fit for you or your loved one, we would be very happy to have a conversation.

More about the care at Nayland Care Agency Limited.

What each type of care involves, and the questions worth asking when you call or visit.

Older Person Care

Ageing well at home often needs nothing more elaborate than a reliable visit at breakfast and another at teatime. Those calls cover a wash, clean clothes, a reminder about tablets and something hot to eat, with conversation thrown in. Nayland Care Agency is registered for older person care in the surrounding area. Ask how long each visit lasts, how many carers would attend over a month, and what happens when one is running late. Evening, weekend and overnight availability should be confirmed before anything is agreed. Hourly rates in the East commonly fall between £28 and £33, and Suffolk can assess anyone who may be eligible for funded care.

Dementia

Who comes through the door, and how often it is the same person, decides whether dementia care at home succeeds. A calm voice, one instruction at a time and the patience to withdraw and return make most tasks possible. Nayland Care Agency is registered for dementia care as well as general home support. Ask what dementia training the carers have, how they handle distress or refusal, and what the response would be if a client started going out unaccompanied. Establish too how often the plan is reviewed and who contacts the family when things change.

Physical Disability

Washing, dressing and transfers are the practical pressure points when movement is restricted, and the equipment to hand decides how safely they go. Nayland Care Agency is registered to support people with a physical disability. Ask how carers are trained on the hoist or aid in the house, whether two can attend where that is safer, and how much the plan leaves to the person.

Visual / Hearing Impairment

Announcing yourself, facing the person you are speaking to and never rearranging the furniture covers most of what sensory loss requires. Nayland Care Agency is registered to support people with visual or hearing impairment. Families should ask how these needs are captured in the care plan, whether written information can come in large print, and how carers verify that a message has landed.
