About Us
Angel Home Care supports people in their own homes in Cheadle and across the surrounding parts of Stockport. We visit older people and people living with dementia, and we support people with physical disabilities, with the aim of making home a comfortable and safe place to stay for as long as somebody wishes.
We are a local team and that shapes how we work. We know the area, the surgeries and the community teams, and we plan our rounds so that calls happen when we have said they will. For somebody waiting for help to get up in the morning, punctuality is not a detail.
The support itself depends entirely on the person. It may mean help with washing and dressing, prompting or assisting with medication, preparing meals and encouraging somebody to eat and drink well, help to move safely about the house, laundry and shopping, or accompanying somebody to an appointment. For people living with dementia, we send the same carers at the same times wherever we can, because a familiar face at the door removes a great deal of confusion and worry.
Before we start, we agree exactly what the support will involve, put it in writing and share it with anyone the person wants involved. We review it as needs change. Our carers are trained for the needs they meet and are properly supervised.
