About Us
Radis Community Care arranges live in care, placing a worker in a person's own home in Tamworth and across the surrounding part of Staffordshire. Live in care is a different proposition from a round of visits and the difference is worth understanding. Instead of somebody arriving for half an hour, a worker is there through the day, so help is available when it is actually needed rather than when the rota allows. For a lot of people it is the thing that makes staying at home possible when the alternative had looked like a care home. It also asks more of everyone, because somebody is living in your house. So matching matters enormously. We think about temperament, interests, pace and household habits, not just availability. We support older adults, including many living with dementia, and younger adults. Among the people we support are those with a learning disability, autistic people, people managing a mental health condition, people with a physical disability, people who are blind, partially sighted, deaf or hard of hearing, people living with an eating disorder, and people whose difficulties involve alcohol or drugs. Our overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Ring us and we will come out and talk through whether this is the right arrangement for you.
