About Us

We are Home Instead, supporting people at home across Newcastle and the surrounding parts of Staffordshire. Our focus is on helping older people stay in their own homes, keeping their own routines, for as long as that is what they want.

Our visits cover personal care, medication, meals and mobility, and they also cover companionship, which we count as real care rather than an added extra. A great deal of what keeps somebody well is conversation, getting out of the house and having something in the diary. We support people living with dementia, where familiar surroundings do so much of the work, along with people living with a physical disability and younger adults who need support to live independently.

We take time at the start to understand how somebody likes their day to run, and we match carers to people thoughtfully rather than by who happens to be free. Longer visits and consistent faces are deliberate choices, because rushing is where home care usually goes wrong.
