About MHS Care
MHS Care supports people in their own homes across Newcastle in Staffordshire and the surrounding area. We work with older people, adults living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults, people managing mental ill health, adults with physical disabilities, people with visual or hearing impairments, younger adults and people living with eating disorders. We take on a broad range deliberately. Needs rarely arrive one at a time, and families are often passed between providers because a person does not fit a standard list. We would rather assess properly, say honestly what we can manage and build support around the individual. Our visits cover personal care, medication, meals, mobility, help getting up and settling at night and support to get out into the community. Where someone is managing an eating disorder or significant mental ill health, we follow the plan set by the clinical team involved rather than improvising, because consistency between everyone supporting a person often matters more than anything else we could add. We protect continuity of staff wherever we can, since home care only works when the person arriving already knows how things are done in that house. We have not yet received an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission. If you are considering support for yourself or a relative, we will listen first and be honest about whether we are the right people for it.
