About Us

L and T Healthcare provides home care to people living in and around Newcastle under Lyme. We support older people and younger adults, people living with dementia, people with physical disabilities, and people who have sight or hearing loss.

Our work happens in your home and on your terms. Depending on what is needed, a visit might involve help with washing and dressing, prompting or giving medicines, preparing a meal and seeing that it is eaten, laundry and keeping the house in order, shopping, or support to get out to appointments and to see people. Some visits are short and practical. Others are longer, and for some people the company is as much the point as the tasks.

We plan the support with the person, and with family where that is wanted. We ask how you like things done, what you would rather manage yourself, what a bad day looks like and who we should ring if something concerns us. Then we revisit the plan when your circumstances change rather than filing it away.

Continuity is something we work at. For anybody living with dementia, and for anybody who finds unfamiliar people unsettling, knowing who is coming makes the difference between a visit that helps and a visit that unsettles, so we keep the team around each person small and tell you in advance when it has to change.
