About Us
Dahlia Health Care provides care at home to people in Newcastle under Lyme and the surrounding parts of Staffordshire. We support older people and people living with dementia, adults with a learning disability and autistic adults, people with mental health needs, people with physical disabilities and with visual or hearing impairment, and younger adults who need help to live independently. Home care has to fit the household it goes into, so we do not work from a fixed menu. Some people want a short call each morning to help with washing, dressing and medication. Others need support at several points through the day with meals, mobility, the housework and shopping. Younger adults often want less personal care and more help with the practical business of running a life, from appointments and paperwork to getting out to work or college. We visit first, agree the plan with the person and whoever they want present, write it down in plain words and review it as things change. We are also honest when we think somebody needs more than can safely be provided at home. We work to send the same carers to the same people, because familiarity is what lets our team notice the early signs that something is wrong.
